Freckle offers a professional and down-to-earth fundraising consultancy service. We have over 20 years’ experience of working within education, public and private funding, the third sector and cultural organisations.

We pride ourselves on being approachable and able to adapt and work with all levels of an organisation. Our relationship together can last from one day to many months or even years – depending on the support required.

Hello, I’m Helen – founder of Freckle Fundraising and self-confessed ‘culture vulture’

After reading Psychology at University, I worked as a Chalet Host in Austria, before returning to the UK to start my professional career as an FE lecturer. The move into teaching made me quickly realise the value of having transferable skills and resilience. I have worked for a range of funding bodies, an arts charity, and several education and training establishments.

I’m often participating in fundraising events – such as running a half marathon or being drenched in pantomime ‘slosh’. Outside of work you’ll find me either on my bike, walking in the countryside or playing badminton.

We adhere to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, and have ‘on the ground’ experience of charitable campaigns, legislation and raising up to six figure revenue, capital and city of culture-related funds.
